Advertising Policy

Our guidelines, listing standards, and payment/pricing rules for agencies, builders, and brokers.

1. Standards of Conduct

Housing Finder holds its partners to high standards. All real estate agencies, mortgage brokers, and local tradespersons must comply with federal and state fair trading laws, including the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Property details (price, size, location, bedrooms, features) must represent the real property accurately. Misleading photos, photos of other properties, or digital adjustments that hide major structural faults are strictly prohibited.

2. Prohibited Practices & Underquoting

We take bait advertising and price manipulation seriously.

  • Underquoting: Listing a property for a price lower than the seller's asking price or the lower limit of the agent's estimated selling range is illegal under Australian real estate law and will result in listing removal.
  • Double Listing: Re-listing the exact same property multiple times to capture search traffic is not allowed.
  • Stale Listings: Sold or leased properties must be updated within 48 hours of sale or lease confirmation.

3. Subscription and Billing Rules

Housing Finder operates on a premium tier structure for agencies, brokers, and tradies.

  • Stripe Payments: All transactions are billed through Stripe securely in Australian Dollars (AUD).
  • Automatic Renewal: Plans renew automatically. You may cancel your subscription at any time via your user dashboard.
  • Refunds: Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No partial refunds are issued, subject to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

4. Enforcement & Audit Rights

Housing Finder reserves the right to review, edit, suspend, or delete any listing or account that is reported for scam, non-compliance, discriminatory advertising, or failure to pay subscription fees. Repeated complaints or warnings will lead to permanent platform exclusion.
